PolyGlass

Polyglass

Polyglass Serving Yarn – An improved polystyrene spool used in a serving process over magnet wire; this combination yarn creates a flexible protective coating and capable of withstanding tough coil winding environments. A conventional method of electrically insulating wire, such as magnet wire, consist of passing the wire through a hollow mandrel on which a continuous spool of yarn is placed, and rotating the spool to wind the yarn about the wire.

AccuGlas is a new packaging configuration for Conneaut’s Polyglass magnet wire insulating yarns.  This new winding pattern promotes smoother yarn flow from spool to wire and exceptional build control.

AccuGlas is supplied on 6″ traverse spools, yielding 85% longer lengths than standard spools and reducing downtime due to changeovers.  Click here for pictures.
